I can provide you with my dissertation that I wrote it 2007, if you want.
The purpose was to clarifying the concept and compare the two 
architectural styles WS-* and REST and it accompanied with  a prototype 
that you can follow it and implement it to tie the architectural concept 
to the implementation techniques.
I do believe it is a very simple architectural concept and easier to 
grasp and understand better than any other architectures.
