Well, that's rather what made me ask the question Chris.

It seems to me also that if you have a mapping like that then things
are going to be a bit confusing.

On the other hand, the API specification is *very* specific on the
subject.

I think we're going to have to wait for James or another member of
Servlet-Experts on this one.
