Why don't you try it first?
First, you can try to use JDBC-ODBC to make the connection. If it works, then
you need to find a Type 3/4 JDBC driver for MS SQL Server. However, Some of the
JDBC is not free.

P.S. I am use servlets with Apache Jserv on Linux and my DBMS is PostgreSQL
which is running on Linux.
