I dumped JRun in favor of Servlet Exec. It has better customer support, loads and executes servlets faster, runs in-process (read faster), and uses a servlet for administration.  The only down side is that starting the web server can take  a LOT longer while it loads various class libraries (I have 11 jars and it takes about 1 minute just to load them).  The trade off from JRun has been worth it.
