There's an example very similar to this in "Java Servlet Programming"
Chapter 6. See http://www.servlets.com. The example code is online
for you to peruse.
One warning: JPEG can support 24-bit colors, while GIF can only do
8-bit, so you're likely to make one ugly GIF.
