Sun's site has a tutorial in their developers section, which works
through several example servlets; there are good articles at the various
sites such as servletcentral.com.

Might as well plug my own article on servlet design while I'm at it:

   Fundamentals of Servlet Design
   http://www.webmacro.org/Servlet.html

Read it after you've read the basic tutorial on Sun's site, and
browsed through the articles available elsewhere.
