Doesn't the Acro Exchange feature, that's part of the full Acrobat3.01,
convert Word documents to PDF? If so, it's available on some Unix platforms
(at least HP and Solaris).

Zol.

Subject: off topic: word to pdf conversion on unix
(or Linux?)

We have a servlet based application that mainly servers pdf
files on the
                intranet.
The documents are originally ms-word documents. Every night
we convert them to
pdf document as part of a batch process.

Currently our platform is Win NT.

We prefer to move to LINUX or any other unix based platform.
The problem is; I
                do not
know how to convert the ms-word documents to acrobat pdf on
a unix based
                platform.

is there a way to do this?

                Thanks.
