There's been articles in american papers where Sun confirms this (sorry
no URL handy). Joe Di Pol, a JWS representative sent a mail to the JWS mailing
list saying this:
A quick response before this gets too out of control:
- JWS 2.0 is not cancelled and we are on track to release in a
couple of months. We just posted our Beta 2 update (with
preliminarty JSP1.0 support) to www.sun.com and encourage
everybody to try it out.
- We are working closely with the Alliance teams to migrate
key JWS technology into future Alliance products so that
you will have even better webserver products comming out
in the future. The Alliance teams are very committed to JSP and
Servlets, and addressing the needs of JWS customers.
- We will have a more detailed roadmap by JavaOne.
- We are listening

easy to use, pure Java web server with support for the Servlet API 2.1, take
