JSP Support: LiteWebServer 2.0 - JSP 0.91 via GNUJSP
Contact: Hans Bergsten
Category: Tools, Web Server, Servlet Engine
Description:
InstantOnline Basic is our servlet based component suite for
building dynamic web sites, with components for database access,
email, file upload, input validation and much more. It's currently
based on SSI servlets (<SERVLET> tags) but we are in the
process of migrating to a JSP custom tags and JavaBeans model.
LiteWebServer is our pure Java, Servlet API 2.1 enabled web
server. JSP 0.91 support is available through GNUJSP. Its very
small size (less than 100 KB) makes it ideal for embedded systems,
for bundling with web application demos sent to potential customers,
and for running web applications distributed on CDs. It's free for
non-commercial use.
WAICoolRunner is our pure Java servlet engine add-on for
Netscape web servers, with full support for Servlet API 2.1.
JSP 0.91 support is available through GNUJSP. It's free for both
commercial and non-commercial use.
We also participate in the development of both the Servlet
specification and the JSP specification.

Category: Application Server, Web Server
Description:
The Sun-Netscape Alliance is going to have JSP 0.92 and Servlet
2.1 support in upcoming Netscape Application Server 4.0 and

Netscape Application Server 4.0 is using Servlets and JavaServer
Pages to provide Server-side Presentation Logic Model (SSPL)
in a standards-based way. JSPs are used for page logic and
output processing and Servlets provide the presentation logic. JSP
and Servlet support is only the first step towards support of the J2EE
platform.
Netscape Enterprise Server and FastTrack server 4.0 offers a
full-scale Java development environment. It include support for Java
Server Pages , Servlets 2.1 and the latest native Java 2 VM's. It
implements a high-performance in-process JVM architecture and
includes a management framework for servlet applications. The
Enterprise Server 4.0 is available now for Solaris, Windows NT
and HP-UX in Beta and will ship in Q3 1999.
