session tracking

Hi,

I would like to know whether HttpSession objects persist among

pages that are navigated thru href links. I have two servlets. The

first servlet creates a session variable and displays a link. The

resulting servlet should access the session variable set in the first

servlet. But when I am accessing the session variable in the 2nd

servlet, it has a null value.

Can you tell me a way of passing this data between these servlets?
