Hi,
I installed a trial version of Java Web Server 1.1.3 on my win'95
machine.
After installation i followed the following steps to check the working
of the test servlet's bundled with JWS1.1.3:
1 Started the Netscape 4.6 Communicator and made it point to
http://mypc.mycompany.com:8080/
2 It worked....i got the index.html page.
3 I clicked on the 'Administer the Web Server' link in the left hand
side frame to launch the 'Java Server Administration' web page.
4 Now clicked on the 'Start the Administration Tool' link in this page.
5 Now iam taken to the 'http://mypc.mycompany.com:9090/index.html' page
with a status bar message :Applet
com.sun.server.admin.toolkit:AdminApplet running NullPointerException
6 I enter the admin user name and password (both are set to "admin"
only) only to find a 'Retry Server Connection' Applet that refreshes
every 5 seconds. This applet tries to connect to
http://mypc.mycompany.com:9090 but does not succeed even after 5 minutes
forcing me to hit the 'logout' button in every attempt.
I repeated the above steps some 5-6 times restarting the pc each time
but no success!
Please let me know if i have to do some extra configuration for a Win'95
machine or what exactly is the problem.
