Take a look at the JSDK documentation, in the Servlet interface that your
servlet should be a implementing (through extending HttpServlet). There is
a method named log that allows you to write to the servlet engine's log
files. Each servlet engine is different about where they put these files,
but you should be able to locate them in your servlet engine's
documentation.
