Hi all,
I know this is an off-topic question, sorry. but
I can't find other mail listing service that is as good as this one, and I know
there must be many sql experts here who can help me. I have NT(stand alone
server) and SQL installed in a same machine which connects to the internet using
a modem. When I register the sql server with the enterprise manager, it gives me
'Unable to connect to server: (reason: [DB-Library] Unable to connet: SQL server
is unavailable or doesn't exist, specified server not found'. error message. I
think it dials out to the internet to look for the specified sql server instead
of looking for the local one. Would anyone tell me how to make it look for the
local sql server?
