Sun is not discouranging anything. When you install Java on Solaris,
they
have man pages for the jdk commands (java, jre, javac, javadoc, etc).

But to have man pages for the servlet API, would be a lot of work,
specially
when they already have documentation in HTML which is more portable.

If you want man pages for the servlet API, you might want to start a
project
and do it yourself, just like the guy who converted the Java API docs to
WinHelp format.

BTW - I like man pages for "commands" , man pages for an API is kind of
weird to me, I'd rather read something like that with HTML. Just my
opinion ...
