That is not quite correct. The Browser expects one document, but if the
document's type is (something like) x-multipart/replace, you can put a
separate html (or gif) document in each part and they will be displayed
as they arrive.

That is how server push worked and you need to check Netscape website
for exact details on this technique.

Of course, 'X' in x-multipart/replace means the mime type is
non-standard. (not registered with IANA {sp?}). Draw your own
conclusions from that.
