I am relatively new to the world of and am very pleased with the robust
functionality found in the most basic of implementations. I am also,
however, a very happy Perl CGI programmer who makes extensive use of Lincoln
Stein's CGI module (http://www.perl.com/pub/doc/manual/html/lib/CGI.html).
This library has some elegant functionality that I have been unable to find
in a lot of looking through Java class libraries:
- simple HTML writing
I have found a few such packages but none with the sweet distributive nature
of CGI.pm
- parameter state maintenance
If you haven't seen this, it's beautiful
I'd love to move on the servlets from CGI but will need to find or build
such a set of utilities to do so happily. Anyone know of such a set of
tools? I've got HTML writer classes and file upload utilities to start with.
