hi siva -
win 9x has a much more limited environment variable
space when compared to win nt or unix. jswdk appends
the necessary env settings to pre-existing variables
or creates new ones at invocation if necessary. on
win 9x, this can cause some env vars to grow beyond
supportable length on that os.
can you consider trying the following:
start up a dos shell
reset your CLASSPATH with the bare minimum
as specified in the startserver.bat file
distributed with jswdk
you may need to set your PATH env as well
but i have a feeling it is ok as is
run startserver from within the same
dos shell
hope this helps,
- james
