Hello all -

I previously posted a message detailing the fact that I had a servlet which
calls a an ErrorLog class whose responsibility is to create and write any
anomalies to a file. Here's the ultimate programmer cliche, but when I run
it local using servletrunner, it works fine - but when I load the
servlets/classes to the server, the file isn't created. The thing I do know
- it's not a path problem, because the servlet is also responsible for
importing data feeds (text files) and can do this with no problems. My
current server setup is running the Apache / Jserv combo. My thought is
that it's a JVM security problem and I did have a response before indicating
the creation of a policy file, which to me would make sense. I have tried
this with no avail, but this very well could be my implementation of the
policy file. Can anyone point me in the right direction for documentation on
implementing a policy file for an Apache/Jserv setup? OR if anyone has any
other ideas as to the solution to my dilemma, please fire away -

Thanks in advance

sc
