connecting to a DB with applets is not really necessary. If u did .. the
user would have to download th DB drivers etc with it.
The way around it would be applet servlet communication:
Two things
1 : com.oreilly.servlet classes are good for applet/servlets
communication
2 : http://www.oreilly.com has a book Java servlet programming by Jason
Hunter ... this explains applet/servlet communication extremely well.
