Good Morning All: I'm giving serious thought to extending the very simple open-source on-site search engine I've begun into something much more substantial: e.g. indexing (of course), lots of options for "smart searching", perhaps even some intelligent-agent based capabilities. This is the kind of project that could easily be extended into a full web search engine if required. It's of course servlet-based, with extensibility via JSP fo custom UI. If anyone else is heading in this direction and would like to participate in an open-source project of this type, please drop me a line. If it's already being done, please let me know that too! We've got the setup to host an open-source project like this all ready to go.
