I had posted a message earlier regarding session handling in Java servlets
and I just wanted to possibly refine the problem that I'm having.
Basically what I need to be able to do is figure out when a user has left
my site, and I need to be able to do that rather quickly. The reason is
because I have a Java servlet creating a socket connection to some server
to grab data. I want to be able to kill the connection and data transfer
if the user jumps to another page before the actual retrieval has
finished. Is there any way using session management to determine this?
