Brian, take a look at the servlets trail on the Java Tutorial website.
They have a small book store application that implements a cart. That
should give you a good start.

Subject:  Shopping Cart

Hi,

I have been offered the job of building a shopping cart using servlets.

There is a one month deadline and this seems short to me.

Could anyone who has experience setting up servlet shopping carts please
let me know if
this is a reasonable time allowance.

Also I have no idea what architecture to use in designing this project.
I am sure it will need connection pooling and HttpSession objects and
SSL credit card verification.

Any info or .02 you can offer would help me out with this decision.

Thanks
Brian
