Different people like different approaches.
For HTLM design I like FronPage 98 or WebDreamer (Macromedia ). FrontPage
seems to be simpler to use than WebDreamer.
For dynamic pages I would prefer some template package rather than JSPs.
I've never wrote JSP page but my understanding that it's like ASP and I did
a lot of ASP and can tell that ASP are very messy.
But again JSP is a common approach so it's easy to find help by a book. So
for novice I would suggest JSP. After that you will be able to appreciate
template package :).
I wrote template package myself if you are interested you can download it
from http://template.da.ru .
Also you can download from there database pool (button "Cool staff").
