nothing to do with multi-threadedness. all web servers that i know about behave the
same way
with servlets: any class in the server's CLASSPATH get loaded once at server start
up. classes in
the servlets directory (on JWS; it is different for other servers) are reloaded
dynamically. what
you're seeing is the way it's supposed to be.
