Hello all,

Assuming this was missed over the weekend, I'm sending it again.

I have two servlets, the first calls details about photos from a database,
including the file name of the image (ie it's location under the 'images'
directory), with the pertinent line looking liket this within a
while(rs.next()) loop:

   String imageName = rs.getString("FileName");
   out.println("<TD>" + "<A HREF=\"/scotscape/images/" + imageName + "\">" +
"<IMG SRC=\"ShrinkFilter/images/" + imageName + "\"></A></TD>");

The second servlet is ShrinkFilter (thank you Jason!). However, the problem
is that it only seems to work when the images are in the ShrinkFilter/images
directory. In other words if 'imageName' is
nature/RFgrouse3.jpg it won't work. The anchor tag does to get the full
scale image, but the IMG tag has
the red x of IE5. Even stranger, it works fine in IE3 and can even pull up
images
from sub-directories under 'images'. That doesn't work with Netscape
Communicator 4.5.

The other odd thing is that new items added via another page don't turn up
in IE5, but do in the other two.

Any answers, or solutions to these problems, and how to sort out the
cross-browser behaviour would be appreciated.

In case it matters I'm doing this on jswdk-1.0.1 on win95.

Cheers
Bruce
Don't forget to try the Java Servlet Editor with its DB servlet wizard.
