This may be the wrong forum for this question, but has anyone seen any
research or done any thinking towards Java Servlet patterns? (Perhaps the
proper terminology would be "idioms", since Servlets are specific to Java.)

I recognize a number of existing patterns categories--concurrency and
distributed-object patterns, for starters--would apply generally to any
servlet in question, but I'm looking for something a bit more tightly tied
to the particular forces and options of Servlet construction;
servlet-chaining, for example.

Anybody?
