What do you mean by admin server and enterprise server. Is admin server a
server in your enterprise server? If so, i am not sure of NES3.5 but 4.0
doesnt allow you to have certificate installed by more than one server. I
think in 3.5 you need to create different database and try install it and
use that. I came to know from Netscape support that in 4.0 there is no
concept of mulitple databases. If you mess of with that then you have remove
the database files and recreate the database before requesting for a
certificate. But always have a back-up of the database files that are
created when you create the database so you can use them if something goes
wrong. Does this solve your problem?

Subject: enabling SSL on NES3.5

Hi all
I am generating my keypair file and the certificate using the java2 keytool.
But the NES is not accepting it. I want to enable SSL for developement
purpose -- so I dont want to go to any commercial CA for the certificate. If
I generate the keypairs through the NES Admin tool -- it asks for a CA for
getting the certificate. can I generate a certificate for my developement
purpose and install it in NES???
Any pointers are welcome
TIA
Anamitra
