Danny,
pls. read the original post. He (can't tell from the name, no offense)
is looking for ways to diplay HTML *INSIDE* the applet (probably in some
Canvas). Look:

I am sure a poster that knows how to issue a GET from inside his applet
could probably have figured out how to send returning HTML to the
browser:-)
Even if he doesn't, rendering HTML *INSIDE* (sorry for screaming) an
applet is another story though and if you or anyone has a solution, I
would like to hear it. Again, it is bad as an idea but very useful
sometimes.
Either my English betrays me, or you are giving a valid solution to the
wrong problem:-)
Have fun,
Kostas
P.S. Applets will be around until the next thing that will give a
superset of their functionalities. The Activator (1.2 plug-in) is more
of a handicap than a solution. Me thinks. No hats:-) Check out the
attack java-on-the-client is getting in a number of IEEE and other
journals the past few months. But we are straying, this is a
java-on-the-server forum.
