This whole argument seems to hinge on the belief that filling a mailing
list with off-topic or trivial posts is not rude itself.  Rudeness
begets rudeness.  This is not a mailing list for children of troubled
familiies, it is a mailing list for servlet authors.  There is every
reason to expect participants to behave responsibly and post
reasonably.  Yes, that includes not flaming the innocent as well.

If you want this list to become a support group for people who can't
read documentation, so be it.  I haven't had a basic Servlet question
yet that hasn't been quickly answered in the pages of Jason Hunter's
book.  I'm taking my brain to a moderated list...
