Yes, perhaps the phrasing is a bit unfortunate. What -jh- probably wants
to convey is that get methods for attributes OTHER than name, value and
version are pretty useless because the cookie arriving on the server would
have no knowledge of these OTHER attributes.
On your other earlier question (IP vs. Domain Name in pattern matching) I
suggest you check with RFC 2109 and NScape's pages (links on p. 202 as
above). For a quick and dirty, try using java.net classes to get the name
out of the IP address...
