Yes. You are.
Servlets are just a web platform... they don't affect the client at
all.
A servlet is analagous to a CGI script.

Errr... Swing is platform independant as long as you have the right
platform /8->
Things you can do to try and fix Swing:
- use Mozilla on Linux
- upgrade your Linux distrib
- try and get it working on Windows (it *is* a pain to get working
just generally).
My personal recommendation is to not use Swing at all but to use the
web the way it was designed to be used.
