Dear Rob

You might be thinking of the load(InputStream) method of the Properties
class. Properties is a subclass of Hashtable, so you still keep all your
Hashtable faciities + you get some extra fun. We use this method to load our
servlet parameters from a file.

Hope this helps

Nick.

Subject: Parameter File (offtopic)

Hi all,
I just wrote a class that converts a file to a Hashtable, and a few days ago
i
was looking through the documentation and found a method that did the same
thing.

Does anybody know what it is called??! i've totally forgotten

needs to load file with the parameter name is the key
eg
mime type = text/plain

(makes it earier to read source for non html documents)

i want these values to be inserted into a hash table.

The classes made by sun would probably be better than myne

thanks alot
Rob
