The list server has just gone into juke box mode: re-playing some of our old favourites from way back when. I suspect we have to put up with this from time to time - if people would keep on-topic it would happen less but since they can't we overload the server with rubbish and it sometimes panics. I'm affraid there isn't much we can do about it - except try to moderate more what questions we ask here.
