Well... I am not parsing logically.But I am trying to make my servlet listen
to the link , that is activated currently.Since I am not going to have the
HTML code .... somehow I have to catch from the document that which link is
activated. From that , my servlet should get the URL , so that the URL is to
be requested by the servlet again and give it to the end user.
  The purpose of the servlet is to have a better control over the incoming
HTML documents to our Intranet.

Are you parsing the HTML to find out hyperlinks ?
Could you clarify your question a bit?
