Was searching the archives for a servlet which takes in a file, syslog,
parses
it (based on some simple configurable parsing rules, i.e. number of lines,
severity tokens, etc.) and did not find one. Did find some classes which
allow servlets to log to syslog; but I'm looking for a servlet to go
'the other way'. Basically a file reading servlet with some simple
configurable parsing rules so I can play with my log files, internally.
Suggestions would be appreciated?
Also, an SNMP servlets out there? Something that is configurable to
accept IP addresses and community strings, etc. and do simple SNMP
queries?
In an nutshell, looking for servlets which an be used for system and
network management interfaces.
Is there a better discussion list to ask this question?
Regards, Tim
