There is a great type 4 driver that you can get at :
http://www.worldserver.com/mm.mysql/
I use version 2.0.2, I don't recommend version 1.0, i had trouble with a few
things that were solved when i moved to version 2.0
I also recommend using the ConnectionPool class written by Jason Hunter that
you will find at www.servlets.com
It is very easy to use, even if you don't have a clue about what a
connection pool is, you'll understand the concept very quickly once you read
the doc, or better, once you read jason hunter's book (bible ?)
I saw the loading time of my webpages decrease by 50% once i started using
this ConnectionPool.
Regards, Arnaud Dostes.
