We're getting a bit off topic now I think....
I agree - I can't see anything in the API that says I shouldn't
use Reflection in any application, including Servlets. I can't think of
any reason to restrict it to GUI builders etc. (which my app. wasn't). The
way I read the API is that it's just making suggestions. Suggesting that
you can put ketchup on burgers and hotdogs doesn't mean that you're not
allowed to put it on chips!
I was just brain storming - trying to think of ways to communicate, and I
added reflection just because it popped into my head as a way of getting
hold of unknown classes. Having thought it through it's not suitable
anyway though (a solution has been found however, a gentleman suggested
JMS which sounds perfect).
