I didnt't like the tip 42 for one reason, I've read that the class
sun.misc.BASE64Encoder should no be used because it may change in the next
versions of Java. When I went to:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/index.html and I really did not find
the class.

In the tip 47, there is a code for implementing what the class
sun.misc.BASE64Encoder does, so if I were you, I would use it. I have not
used the tips myself but I do think they work.
