Jannette,

    Most likely if it can see those packages you will have to add it your
CLASSPATH variable. The <INSTALL_DRIVE>:\<TOMCAT HOME>\lib\servlet.jar
directory.. Try this out and stop and restart your server and you should be
able to pickup servlet packages.
