Sonia,

Try setting the TOMCAT_HOME ,JAVA_HOME,CLASSPATH inside tomcat.sh . That's
what I had to do to make it work.
Have you installed Tomcat with apache with mod_jk.so in between ??

Infact i was also looking into this minimalistic....guide for installation
of Tomcat... I followed the instructions and set the tomcat home and java
home but when i tried to start the tomcat using startup it says bad command
!! can u please assist ?
