I've seen several recent posts about merits of server-side, versus
client side validation.

Anyway, on the topic of server side validation, I was wondering if anybody
on this alias has any
experience using reflection technology to implement server side validation.

Michaeal Cymerman, wrote a series of articles for Java World outlining a
reflection base servlet framework.
Part of the this framework is validation, with the idea being you provide
validation rules to the servlet, there
by making it smart enough to validate requests, without requiring any
explicit coding.

My question is, is this approach, powerful enough, and fast enough for
commercial quality web-based apps.

please fill free to give any insights/opinions you may have.
I'd also be interested to hear about peoples thoughts on reflection in
general. Provide the performance is acceptable,
I think it could be very powerful.

thanks
