 It depends on what is meant by 'click the browser stop'. I
took it to mean 'click on the stop button to interrupt the
download of a large web page'. In that case, the answer (as
discussed in the archives) is 'maybe'.

 Quick summary: if the socket connection to the servlet is
closed, the servlet output stream will (eventually) give you
an IOException when you try to write to it. But the client
might be connected through a series of proxies, and there is
some funkiness with how java reports writes to closed
sockets. So you can't depend on it.

 Sudarson_Pratihar: why, exactly, do you want to do this?
What are you trying to accomplish?
