when at our company explored alternatives we found that static
content served by servlets was produced again and again for every
browser request.
The same static content served by Apache was served only once.
So again, serving static content via servlet isn't an unnecessary burden?
Has someone found an elegat solution ?
Are these only configuration problems ?
