Thanks for the links to the great tutorials.

My question was how to make the servlet/server respond with a chunked
encoding response.

After posting my question I saw a link to the archive.  It seems that the
servlet spec does not address chencked encoding and it is up to the
individual servlet container.  Is that a true statement? Can Tomcat
generate a HTTP/1.1 responsse? or chunked response?

I want to respond with chunked transfer encoding.  Where do I request this
in my servlet?  Or is there a server setting in Tomcat?

Related Question:  I get a  progocol of HTTP/1.0 back, even when my request
is HTTP/1.1.  How do I set the protocol version?
