Hi Julio,

The limitation that I am thinking of is not related to the length of URLs
and query strings. It is related to the amount of information that a servlet
is supposed not to totally or partially function.

Subject: RES: Limitation on servlets

Hi Joao,

Rephrasing Hunter's Book : "Because GET requests theoretically shouldn't
need to send large amounts of information, some servers limit the lenght or
URLs and query strings to about 240 characters"

Assunto: Limitation on servlets

Hello,

I read that doGet() and service() methods limit a servlet but I don't know
to what extension. Does one of you may explain the limitations on servlets'
methods? Thanks.

Regards,
Joao Costa
