The better way to test te capability  of an obfuscator is, imo,to run it on you source 
and then test the result(running a decompiler on the obfuscated-executable). I've 
heard some good opinions about Crema e Dasho(www.dasho.com), and I know there's an 
integrated obfuscator in Jbuilder too (not in the personal Edition)..but it mustn't be 
very satisfacting..

About decompilers I've tried some (DJ,jad,Mocha,Jascii,NMI's,Decafe Pro),but if you 
search the net you will find many more.
