I'd try something like:
PreparedStatement ps = con.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO table VALUES (? ,
?)");
ps.setInt(1,12);
ps.setDate(new java.sql.Date(System.currentTimeMillis()));
ps.executeUpdate();
Maybe that helps.
