Hi, I'm using Vignette v/5 5.0 for application development. I would appreciate it if I can leverage the experience of my fellow developers.
I have a JSP page which will be calling a Vignette template. I'm guessing that the JSP page will be making an HTTP call to a vignette template. Now I think following are the issues: - Should I pass the parameters (from JSP - Vignette) as HTTP parameters? - As there are more than one Vignette bricklets on the page, would it be better to make one single call to Vignette which will return all templates as part of one bigger template OR should there be a number of calls - one for each Vignette template the page displays? Any performance related issues? - Do the Vignette Custom URLs need to be rewritten before they are passed to the JSP page? Or will the URLs work like they would in a Vignette template? - If I need to pass some information back from the Vignette to the JSP page, should that be done as part of HTTP parameters? - If I've overlooked any aspect, please advice on that as well. All comments are welcome and thank you in advance for your help.
