Tomcat 4.0 can't find my classes

Hi, I started to use tomcat 4.0 and it can't find my .class files which I use in JSP. I have set a classpath in MS DOS window to point to these classes. Before I was using tomcat 3.2.1 and it could find my classes if I set classpath to point to it. Maybe there is a different way to do it in 4.0?   Thanks for your help. Galina
