Did you start tomcat ? ie., From the DOS command prompt (>C:\WINDOWS) Type:   cd C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0\bin (followed by) startup     .     .     . shutdown (to stop the webserver)  -----Mensaje original----- De: A mailing list for discussion about Sun Microsystem's Java Servlet API Technology. I do not have another web server on port 8080 2. I am not getting "out of environment space" error 3. I am not going through a proxy   Any of you expert-folk have any suggestions for me to try?   Thank you,   Frank
